For all of you wondering why the world needs another blog aggregator, let me offer a glimpse of where this little project is heading. Dishing out a fresh slice of medblogosphere, organized by easy-to-browse categories is only the beginning.

What we are really after is to create an open Internet community for people interested in quality healthcare. The goal is to encourage broad participation from bloggers and readers, consumers and professionals alike. Our vision of Open Medicine is more than a declaration. We intend to turn it into reality, one step at a time.
